Jim Korroch serves as President for WaterWalk Management. He is a well-respected 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry. In 1995, Jim co-created Candlewood Suites with Jack DeBoer, later serving as the principal of AG Holdings, LLC, a hotel ownership, development and management company. His hotel holdings included Marriott brands – Residence Inn, Courtyard, Fairfield, Springhill Suites, TownePlace Suites, and Aloft and IHG assets.
His extensive working knowledge of site selection, transactions, financing, operations and sales helps him quickly identify opportunities and challenges. He has the unique ability to readily understand and anticipate the needs and concerns of stakeholders. Under his leadership, his teams have earned several awards, including “Opening Hotel of the Year” from Marriott twice. Jim was also instrumental in the design and relaunch of the TownePlace Suites brand with Marriott leadership, increasing the brand’s distribution and market share dramatically.
Jim is passionate about working with the WaterWalk team and franchise community to create and grow a great brand.
Jim is active in a number of civic organizations. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Greater Wichita YMCA and currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Wichita CVB. He is also a member of the Downtown Wichita Rotary Club, and is actively involved in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita.
Jim is a graduate of Michigan State University and resides in Wichita, Kansas with his wife Kelly. Together, they have 5 adult children.
